Care unveils free digital TV platform to help pharmacies boost sales and provide public health information

Care has further enhanced its continued and long-standing support for community pharmacy by launching a free, in-store digital TV platform to help increase sales and customer engagement.

 

Care PharmaTV is an innovative signage solution which features specially designed, eye-catching visuals to focus on products, seasonal ranges and selected Public Health England campaigns, including information on the coronavirus outbreak.

You can gain access to the free TV platform by registering online – all you need is a smart TV or any other device with web browsing capabilities.Where you position your TV screen is entirely up to you but it’s best to choose a prominent position where it can be easily viewed by customers. A seated waiting area is a good spot – or near the consultation room – as it offers a captive audience of customers looking to pass the time as they wait for their prescriptions. Alternatively positioning it in the store window helps to engage passers-by and may even draw new customers in, particularly if you’re promoting some of your pharmacy’s services.

 

Similar digital TV signage platforms have already proved to be very effective in some pharmacies. According to an article in the online trade publication Chemist and Druggist, pharmacies already on board with digital TV advertising in their stores reaped the benefits within a relatively short space of time.

 

Some users reported a 400% increase in retail sales after installing a paid-for digital advertising screen service and a big boost in income from using it to promote the private services they offer.1
